The man who had fired the blast at the hairy mutant gave Dante a look of thinly-veiled disgust.
"That was bad," he informed him, because everybody was a critic. "Like, actually terrible."
And then, because he figured he could fare pretty well against anybody who would take a sword to a gunfight, he pointed his gamma ray accelerator in Dante's direction. It needed a few moments to recharge, but there had been plenty of time for that between shooting the clawed one and now.
"Die, mutie!"
Look, it was hard to tell the mutant from the other around here. They were mostly operating under the assumption that they could just sort it all out in the aftermath.
