Karla and Warren were very much enjoying a child-free weekend. "Does this make you want to get married?" Warren murmured in her ear, wrapping a wing around her.
"Not in the least," Karla said with a small laugh. "Why, is your father making noises again?"
"When doesn't he?" Warren asked with a sigh. It was a much fonder sigh than would have expected to make, back in high school. "But I like living in sin, too."
He had his ring (and Ring) and Karla had hers and that's all either of them needed.
